opendevreviewGoutham Pacha Ravi proposed openstack/governance master: Add TC chair for 2024.2  https://review.opendev.org/c/openstack/governance/+/91602400:04
gouthamrhello tc members; i proposed a patch to set the chair role for 2024.2 here: https://review.opendev.org/c/openstack/governance/+/916024 ; could you please take a look and +/- 1? Also, i'm looking for volunteers who want to be vice-chair during this term. please let me know :) i'm hoping we can learn this role together, and also if you're interested, it's a way to be chair-in-waiting for the next term14:36
fricklergouthamr: a) please use "tc-members" as string, this is what people's highlight should match on. (not sure if that works via matrix, re: yesterdays conversation)14:45

fricklerb) IMO as discussed yesterday, that review doesn't need any voting, as it just records the election result. I'd leave it to the current chair to merge it and to make the needed gerrit changes14:47
fricklerc) I'd volunteer to be vice-chair (like I initially did last cycle), but I likely not stand up as chair next term. might still be better than nothing if there are no other candidates. (not even sure I'd run for TC again depending on how the downstream funding situation evolves)14:51

diablo_rojoTIL and its fantastic. 16:53
fungithough i also appreciate the quote at the end of the clue-by-four entry... "I smite you with the great sword Cluebringer!"16:54
gmannfrickler: ++, I think it is all ok as vice chair even you are not planning to chair next term. vice chair is backup for current chair to help in their absence.  Also, how next term goes, it is hard to predict due to budget and other factor (as you mentioned). 17:10
