rledisezI actually don't know if it has been reported. But it's a known issue from operators ;)08:20
dewaneeI am currently trying to reweight some devices but restarting the reconstructor makes it start from the beginning08:21
dewaneeand although it goes slightly faster when passing devices it has already done the whole process takes ages..08:22
dewaneedo you know if it is possible to have more reconstructor processes at once?08:25

rledisezdewanee: it's not really possible. I patched reconstructor to be able to run one process per device, and one process per job type (revert/sync). it really helped (and it showed that it's sync processes that are leaking memory)08:40
mattoliverauIf I wasn't lazy I'd go search to see if there is already a bug for this (using more and more memory).. a quick bug search says no.. but I'm about to run out to dinner so didn't look to closely.. if there isn't a bug then it should be reported so we can fix it! dewanee or rledisez could one of you take a look and if you can't see anything report it? heck report it anyway even if there is a duplicate. it's important08:46
mattoliverauto know so we can fix it so please report it ;)08:46

ma91Hi14:58
ma91I have 2 users in the same project, one is SwiftOperator, and one is not. The Swift operator should be able to create containers and grant access rights to the second user who is not Swift operator. If granted write access, the user who is not swift operator should be able to write into the container.14:59
ma91So I have a container with the ACLs:15:00
ma91 Read ACL: test_project:user_limited15:00
ma91 Write ACL: test_project:user_limited15:00
*** jamielennox|away is now known as jamielennox15:00
ma91When I write into that container with the more limited user I get:15:00
ma91$ swift upload shared_folder test.txt15:00
ma91Warning: failed to create container 'shared_folder': 403 Forbidden:

Forbidden

Access was denied to this resourc15:00
ma91test.txt15:00
ma91$ swift list shared_folder15:00
ma91test.txt15:00
ma91so apparently the user is able to write into the container correctly, but he gets a warning at upload time15:00
ma91that he cannot create that container… but that container is already there so he should not need to create it15:01
ma91is this normal?15:01

notmynameyeah. well, there's a patch in swift that works around it, but this fixes it in pyeclib for realz19:25

tdasilva_nice, kudos to kota_ for getting this fixed :)19:26

antwashAny documentation about it some where?20:54
clarkbyou have https://git.openstack.org/cgit/openstack/pyeclib/tree/doc so you just need to make sure that the results of build_sphinx end up in doc/build/html20:54

notmynameclarkb: so why does that work locally for me yet fail in the gate? what did I miss in my local version?21:15
clarkbI wonder if you have an older sphinx21:15
clarkblike I said earlier pretty sure the old behavior was to put the build artifacts at source/../build but apparently new sphinx doesn't do that anymore/21:16
notmynameI have 1.2.321:16
clarkbI acn't easily reproduce locally because my distro doesn't have a liberasurecode package21:16
