configsConfigure Swift on RHEL02:57
configsI thought I installed Swift but whenever I do "chown -R swift:swift /srv/node" it throws an error that states "chown: invalid user: swift:swift"02:58
configswhich I'm assuming means that02:59
configsSwift hasn't been properly installed.02:59
configs(thus no swift credentials in /etc/passwd to refer to)02:59
configsran yum -y install python-swiftclient* openstack-swift* openstack-utils* but is there another package/step?03:00
configsThanks.03:01
configsThe /etc/swift directory doesn't seem to have anything, either.03:07
configsExcept swift.conf, which I explicitly created.03:08

tab__Hi. Maybe this question. When there are several data placed on disk that just faild. Would unique-as-possible algorithm than assign different handoff nodes across the cluster for data to be copied as fast as possible to guarantee the amount of replica set for that data?15:33
tab__or different handoff disks15:33

smart_developerHi22:28
smart_developerDoes anyone know why "swift-init all restart" would yield IOError: [Errno 13] Permission denied: '/etc/swift/proxy-server.conf22:28

mattoliverauMorning all22:29
mattoliverausmart_developer: do you have read permissions on /etc/swift/proxy-server.conf?22:30
smart_developerI set the read permissions on /etc/swift22:31

JouvaHey, so the other day I was talking in here about a small deployment. So small that it was smaller than your normal small deployment. Not even 12 disks with all zones combined. So that being said, would it just make more sense for me to do something like a RAID and some file monitoring daemon to rsync files?23:08
