opendevreviewBlaise R Pabon proposed opendev/infra-manual master: Update the sandbox instructions Clarify the instructions, reduce ambiguity, increase consistency. Rather than change the legacy OpenStack  URLs, I changed the text to acknowledge that we refer to OpenStack.  https://review.opendev.org/c/opendev/infra-manual/+/84559314:15
opendevreviewBlaise R Pabon proposed opendev/infra-manual master: Update the sandbox instructions  https://review.opendev.org/c/opendev/infra-manual/+/84559314:16

fungithanks for that!14:21
opendevreviewLajos Katona proposed openstack/project-config master: Add py38/py39 jobs to Grafana  https://review.opendev.org/c/openstack/project-config/+/84559614:28
fungiBlaisePabon[m]1: looks great, i left a few potential improvements as inline review comments. also if you want to see a preview build with your proposed change, zuul provided one at https://storage.bhs.cloud.ovh.net/v1/AUTH_dcaab5e32b234d56b626f72581e3644c/zuul_opendev_logs_0ef/845593/2/check/opendev-tox-docs/0ef31d1/docs/sandbox.html14:37
fungithat url will change at each iteration, but you can find it by following the opendev-tox-docs link in each new zuul comment to its build result dashboard, and then under the artifacts tab there's a docs preview site link14:38
fungiof course, you should also be able to `tox -e docs` locally and then point your browser at the resulting doc/build/html tree14:39

chris_dohmenHey folks! I want to make sure I am not missing anything with this review / process. I have a review for PBR and it currently states its awaiting action from me. However I believe at this point its waiting for the workflow approval. I just want to make sure this is correct and its not being held up by me. Any insight would be appreciated! Thanks!16:07
chris_dohmenhttps://review.opendev.org/c/openstack/pbr/+/84458616:07
clarkbchris_dohmen: it needs a second reviewer to look it over and if they are happy with it they can approve it. fungi may have time for that at some point16:11

fungichris_dohmen: i'll take a look. many of us have been in a focus tunnel leading up to a conference all last week, so things have been moving a bit more slowly in places like code review16:40
fungialso the openstack/pbr project is officially overseen by folks in #openstack-oslo, for future reference (but some of us in here also review changes for it)16:41
chris_dohmen@fungi, no rush! I just wanted to make sure it was not waiting on me.16:41
fungichris_dohmen: normally you'd also add a release note with fixes in pbr, but for me that one's on the edge of maybe not needing one16:43
chris_dohmenAh ok. I will create another review adding that info to contributing.rst to explicitly call that one out as I was not aware of it16:56
*** jpena is now known as jpena|off17:06
fungichris_dohmen: ooh, thanks that's a great idea17:16
fungichris_dohmen: for the record, the release notes are managed with this tool: https://docs.openstack.org/reno/latest/user/usage.html17:20
*** rlandy|biab is now known as rlandy18:01
chris_dohmen@fungi: is reno used throughout all of openstack repos or only specific ones? I am trying to figure out if I should update pbr's documentation or if https://docs.opendev.org/opendev/infra-manual/latest/developers.html#development-workflow should be updated instead.19:34
clarkbchris_dohmen: its used in a lot of repos but not necessarily all of them. It is probably too specific for infra-manual other than maybe making a note to check if a release note is appropriate regardless of what system is used for that19:36
chris_dohmenclarkb: perfect, ill make the update to pbr then! thanks all for the help19:37
fungiyeah, some of the opendev repos also use reno, for example opendev/bindep and opendev/git-review20:15
fungiit's definitely used beyond openstack, but it's also used by projects entirely outside the opendev collaboratory20:15
fungiand certainly a project-specific choice20:16
fungiso the contributing.rst is a sensible place to mention it20:16
