I'm personally leading a small team (4 people right now but it changes :) ) which is focused on Trove. 14:31:03 we are developing a product based on openstack and trove is a part of it. So about 1,5 years ago we started to work on Trove and we started with developing scenario test cases in tempest. 14:32:03 right now we have tests covering single and cluster provisioning, backups, configurations etc. Almost everything which is in trovestack tests and more. 14:32:28 currently we are focusing on mariadb, cassandra and redis as our main datastores 14:32:55 we also have a few new features like cluster backups 14:33:18 and we started an internal process to contribute this code to the community 14:33:25 wow an amazing achievement 14:33:32 that's great, I was also considering whether we could migrate trovestack integration tests fo tempest 14:33:50 yes, this could really be cheerful for the project 14:33:58 however we are a little behind the master branch so we will need to do some additional work but this is ok. 14:34:42 yes, our goal is replace trovestack integration tests and we are about two tests away from this goal :) 14:35:03 dkrol sent me an email about the first part about the above information, I was thinking to share this in this meeting if he is not attending 14:35:22 dkrol: great work 14:35:49 zhaochao: which first part ? 14:35:52 this could be a great improve for the trove testing 14:36:22 dkrol: o, I mean your told me about your team and plan 14:36:24 due to internal paper work it can take some time but we are motivated to do this. 14:38:09 Best news tonight. dkrol , welcome to trove community:) 14:38:19 dkrol: I think that's fine, we could wait, :) 14:38:52 so to summarize I hope we will be able to help with trove quite a bit :) 14:39:19 dkrol: yes, that could help a lot 14:39:34 we had a presentation during openstack days 2018 in Krakow about our work 14:39:51 and we also submitted an abstract to openstack summit in berlin 14:40:42 so our plan in short is to start with reviews, tests and small bug fixes 14:43:02 dkrol: yes, it would be great for your team to help review patches 14:43:50 the current active team members have been busy focusing on internal works for months 14:44:19 and some of us have time on the project recently 14:44:29 I understant, we will do our best 14:45:32 thanks, so at least, maybe for recent weeks we could do more review and dicussions 14:45:38 best on the gerrit 14:45:58 ok, sure 14:46:19 help review, leave comments, so we could make some progress 14:46:21 dkrol: thanks 14:46:46 OK, back to the project updates 14:47:11 #link https://releases.openstack.org/rocky/schedule.html 14:47:40 we have only one week left for the milestone-3 14:48:32 I'll look through all recent updated patches in all trove repos 14:49:00 and try to make some of them to get merged 14:49:31 I will try my best to help for this 14:50:14 I think python3-first patches may be probably finished 14:50:26 wangyao: thanks 14:51:04 another one the mongodb cluster api improvement from gang 14:51:51 migrating zuul jobs to v3 native may also be valuable 14:52:25 and the last one is the discussion about migrating to tempest tests 14:53:10 these seems all we could do before the milestone-3 tagging 14:54:41 OK, I think that's all from me tonight 14:54:56 do you have any other topics? 14:55:21 nothing from my side 14:55:33 nothing for me 14:55:39 zhaochao: yeah, agree.
