14:14:52 <dhellmann> zhaochao : one important reason for that is the milestone tag is an opportunity to verify that the release automation still works for your project; sometimes things change outside of the project that may break releases. Right now, for example, we're working with several teams to fix their README files and setup.cfg metadata because PyPI has added more strict validation.
