15:00:25 <lennyb> Hello everybody
15:00:32 <pots> o/
15:01:15 <lennyb> hello pots, how are you? anything you would like to ask or share?
15:03:47 <pots> good, i just wanted to mention that i've been doing some work on jgriffith's sos-ci. i'll try to send him PRs to integrate the changes, but if anyone else is trying to do the same, I can offer help and encouragement. the main change I made was to enable running both FC and iSCSI tests using the same instance of devstack.
15:05:02 <lennyb> pots, can you provide more details regarding the project?
15:08:11 <pots> i was spending too much time troubleshooting the nodepool/zuul/jenkins setup, and sos-ci seemed easier to grasp, in that you can actually read and understand all the code in one sitting.
15:08:53 <pots> i wanted to modify the setup to make it more practical to run the same test on 4-6 different configurations since I support multiple drivers and each one supports both FC and iSCSI.
15:09:16 <lennyb> #link https://github.com/j-griffith/sos-ci
15:10:57 <pots> sos-ci is basically a zuul client that listens and queues job, and then a configurable number of threads that picks jobs off the queue and runs a few ansible scripts to provision a VM, install devstack, run tempest, publish the logs and report the results.
15:11:03 <lennyb> pots, thanks, I was not aware of this project
15:12:54 <lennyb> I have nothing else to add or to discuss today.
15:13:39 <pots> i just refactored a few things so that the ansible script to run a job could run both FC and iSCSI variants of the test. the devstack move to systemd makes it pretty easy to restart it with different parameters in the conf files.
15:13:58 <lennyb> pots, if there is nothing else I will close the meeting for today
15:14:39 <pots> no, nothing else.
15:14:49 <mmedvede> hi all, I have a question - anyone noticed anything breaking on their side after zuul v3 feature branch has merged?
15:15:50 <lennyb> mmedvede, hi. the only breakage we see is due to ubuntu17.04 update issues, nothing related to zuul.
15:16:08 <lennyb> but we did not updated our zuul
15:16:39 <mmedvede> it still might break if you are not pinning your zuul / nodepool installation to a tag
15:17:00 <lennyb> i will keep it in mind. thanks
15:18:24 <mmedvede> also a reminder - the recommended release of zuul to be used is still 2.6.0, until zuul 3.0.0 is officially tagged. There also would be some sort of migration guide hopefully by that time
15:20:50 <mmedvede> this is all I have, thanks
15:21:00 <lennyb> mmedvede, thank you.
15:21:20 <lennyb> since there is nothing else I will be closing
