15:04:03 <wznoinsk> the issue was nodepool was connecting (ssh) to the newly provisioned node to early (while sshd was giving message the 'system is booting up'), nodepool/paramiko didn't have proper handling of that hence provisioning of the new node was failing
15:04:59 <wznoinsk> a solution or a workaround was simple, it was to configure ssh to start later (putting After multi-user.target in its systemd unit file)
