07:02:53 <mattoliverau> Woo nice turn out!
07:04:07 <mattoliverau> Well this will be a quick meeting
07:04:26 <mattoliverau> I'll run through it by myself so y'all can read the minutes
07:04:43 <mattoliverau> #topic Next Swift release
07:05:12 <mattoliverau> So the next swift release will be whats shipped with Pike.
07:05:36 <mattoliverau> So the deadline is 21st of August
07:06:14 <mattoliverau> So for all you playing along at home.. which I guess is all of you, the 21st isn't too long away, so lets make sure we look at priority reviews and keep it updated.

07:06:51 <mattoliverau> #topic Denver PTG
07:07:05 <mattoliverau> we are gathering ideas for the PTG sessions on an etherpad:
07:07:17 <mattoliverau> #link https://wiki.openstack.org/wiki/Swift/PriorityReviews
07:07:30 <mattoliverau> ops wrong one
07:07:39 <mattoliverau> #link https://etherpad.openstack.org/p/swift-ptg-queens
07:08:02 <mattoliverau> you should find that in the #openstack-swift channel topic
07:08:18 <mattoliverau> Add anything you want to talk about, or if you want to be involved in the discussions.
07:08:18 <mattoliverau> If your around on Mon, Tues and want to help with some triaging then put your name down so we know you are interested/available.
07:08:44 <mattoliverau> Also I've just found out that Suse is sending me!
07:09:10 <mattoliverau> so y'all thought you were free from the loud aussie.. but turns out, not so much, mwuhahaha
07:09:27 <mattoliverau> Speaking of bug triaging.. if there are no other comments.. :p
07:09:39 <mattoliverau> #topic Bug triage work
07:09:50 <mattoliverau> #link https://etherpad.openstack.org/p/swift-bug-triage-list
07:10:13 <mattoliverau> For those interested, but not sure whats going on, read the top of the etherpad.
07:10:13 <mattoliverau> But tl;dr is we want to get our bugs in order, we have many, and many are very old.
07:10:13 <mattoliverau> So phase 1 is to triage all the "new" bugs.
07:10:13 <mattoliverau> Bugs marked 'new' are not triaged, and there are some old ones there. So first lets triage them (see top of etherpad).
07:10:27 <mattoliverau> Later we can re-triage other bugs and see if there still relevent
07:10:52 <mattoliverau> We plan to talk about bug triage and getting a handle on them etc at PTG.
07:11:05 <mattoliverau> #topic new contributors now don't have to join the foundation
07:11:16 <mattoliverau> #link http://lists.openstack.org/pipermail/openstack-dev/2017-August/120771.html
07:11:29 <mattoliverau> From now on, you only need to join if you want to or if you want to vote in OpenStack elections. So that now makes it a little easier for new contributors. The account setup instructions have been updated:

07:18:52 <mattoliverau> Seeing as this meeting was really a bust.. I'll do it again next time... you know what they say, second time lucky :)
07:20:11 <mattoliverau> #agreed mattoliverau will try again! And will chair the next 0700 meeting.. next time for sure
07:20:28 <mattoliverau> Right.. so..
07:20:59 <mattoliverau> I guess I'll just wait a bit. If nothing is said we'll just call it.
07:22:50 <mattoliverau> Well thank you all for continueing to work on Swift.
07:23:40 <mattoliverau> Having meetings in the northern hemisphere summer seems to be problematic. Might need to find some new southern hemisphere peeps to get involved in swift :)
