It's a beautiful snowy morning here in Portland. 17:02:07 o/ 17:02:12 \o 17:02:12 o/ 17:03:59 #topic PTG 17:04:09 It's almost here, OpenStack PTG Dublin! 17:04:28 #link https://etherpad.openstack.org/p/InteropDublin2018PTG PTG Agenda Planning 17:05:18 Later this week I'm going to start planning out the agenda for both the RefStack and InteropWG teams. Please flag any items you absolutely want to talk about, and preferred times for talking about them in the agenda planner. 17:05:53 If you're not going, please also add your name and indicate if there are sessions you'd like to try to participate remotely in. 17:06:20 chandankumar: should we add a point about tempestconf future separately from the line " refstack-client: refstack-client/python-tempestconf integration and future of the tool" ? 17:06:35 tosky: yup 17:06:49 yes, python-tempestconf will also have scheduled time, seperately from refstack and interopwg 17:07:55 #topic python tempestconf 17:08:04 #chair tosky chandankumar 17:08:05 Current chairs: chandankumar hogepodge tosky 17:08:17 chandankumar: do you want to go for it this time? 17:08:22 tosky: yup sure 17:08:52 I have played with tempestconf and refstack and done some initial integration 17:08:56 https://review.openstack.org/#/c/546115/ 17:09:01 Make main function more modular 17:09:13 https://review.openstack.org/#/c/541273/ Generate tempest.conf automatically in Refstack 17:09:23 Feel free to review the patch 17:09:37 currently refstack-client config --os-cloud will work 17:09:46 for the first patch, you should coordinate with kopecmartin because it conflicts with at least one of his patches 17:09:47 I have few doubts/questions here 17:10:00 tosky: yes, we are on sync with that 17:10:19 yes, we create a chain of all refactoring patches 17:10:26 1. How to install python-tempestconf in refstack? 17:10:45 2. How to test tempestconf refstack integration patch in CI? 17:11:22 As current version of tempestconf is 1.4.0 which does not contain the required changes for refstack-client 17:11:38 I imagine we're going to need a devstack instance for testing 17:12:44 Devstack instance will solve my both problem 17:13:08 I will include ci changes in same patch 17:13:20 but I need initial feedback on both the patches 17:13:33 We should add a new job for that then. It's something we've wanted anyway, to run refstack-client with the current approved tests against a cloud in testing 17:13:51 mguiney: and I will take a look and review 17:14:35 Sure, I will update the patches accordingly, that's it from my side 17:14:43 tosky: please go ahead 17:15:17 so, not much else 17:15:18 can do! 17:16:04 ok cool. Thanks! 17:16:04 thanks to kopecmartin and chandankumar investigation we have a fix for identity discovery that should hopefully work for devstack, packstack and tripleo 17:16:06 thanks to tosky and kopecmartin we have releases tempestconf-1.4.10 17:16:22 thanks tosky and kopecmartin! 17:16:23 we have a review request in place for 1.1.4 (that the PTL should kindly approve) 17:16:23 it's celebration time :-) 17:16:49 oh, no, sorry 17:16:52 it was already merged 17:17:02 and it's already packaged in RDO, I even approved the review 17:17:02 haha I was about to ask for a link since I didn't see it 17:17:07 * tosky tired 17:17:38 #topic RefStack 17:18:24 thanks to mguiney all her work in getting anonymous uploads disabled. We made a RefStack release last Friday and pushed it out into production. So far everything seems to be working ok. 17:18:39 #link http://lists.openstack.org/pipermail/interop-wg/2018-February/000224.html 17:19:05 Next step is to give people time to ask us to preserve results, then purge the database of former anonymous results. 17:19:16 (results that we're used in trademark testing) 17:19:40 Next major work is subunit upload and NPM updates. 17:19:48 Followed by documentation work. 17:20:23 Migrating to dropping Python v2 support also. 17:20:28 subunit upload should be in reviewable state, i am finishing up a patch for validation and unit testing stuff 17:20:39 mguiney: excellent! 17:20:49 but the core functionality is all there, so it's getting close 17:21:30 (if y'all have time, feedback would be much appreciated!) 17:21:37 I'm excited to see it moving along and almost finished. 17:21:51 #link https://review.openstack.org/#/c/530681/ Subunit Data upload API 17:22:24 That more or less covers it for the RefStack update unless there are more comments. 17:23:19 #topic open discussion 17:23:31 I wanted to ask about future meetings. PTG is next week, so we won't have a meeting then. 17:23:47 I'll be at Open Source Leadership Summit the following week, and won't be available. 17:24:25 Two options are to have you all run that meeting, or schedule the next IRC meeting for March 13. Any preferences? 17:24:47 hogepodge: noe problem 17:25:00 mar 13 looks fine for me 17:25:42 March 13 is fine for me too 17:26:10 Ok, hearing no objections let's plan on March 13 then! 17:26:15 cool 17:26:27 Any other items folks wanted to chat about? 17:27:24 Thanks and happy Tuesday everybody! 17:27:28 #endmeeting
