Jw-91It seems like there are no bps and bugs need to discuss this week.....03:01
hongbinen, let me check03:01
hongbin#link https://blueprints.launchpad.net/zun/+spec/docker-tls03:02
hongbinhow about this one, i guess shengqin is not available to get back to it?03:02
hongbin#link https://blueprints.launchpad.net/zun/stein03:03
hongbinhere is the list of BPs for stein03:03
hongbinwant to go over the list quickly?03:04
Jw-91Shengqing is busying with other things recently, and there is no progress in these bps.03:04
hongbinok, get it03:04
hongbinin this case, we can mark the BP as "slow progress"03:05
* hongbin is doing it03:05
Jw-91Ok03:05
hongbinthere are two essential BPs03:06
hongbin#link https://blueprints.launchpad.net/zun/+spec/quota-support03:06
hongbinthis one is finished i think03:06
hongbini will double check it with @kien03:06
hongbin#link https://blueprints.launchpad.net/zun/+spec/zun-connector-for-k8s03:06
hongbinthe second one is a bit complicated03:07
hongbinkevin is leaving his job, so we possibly need to another another person to take over this one03:07
hongbinbesides that, i have nothing else03:08
hongbinJw-91: ^^03:08
Jw-91Zun-connector-for-k8s this BP needs someone else to take over?03:08
hongbinyes03:08
hongbini think so03:09
hongbinsee if we can find03:09
hongbini believe kevin has a pull request ready03:09
hongbinwe just need someone to take over what he did and finsish the PE03:10
hongbins/PR03:10
hongbin#link https://github.com/virtual-kubelet/virtual-kubelet/pull/23903:10
Jw-91I have just started watching the contents of k8s recently, maybe I can help, but it will takes a while. . . . . If we can’t find anyone else :)03:10
hongbinsure, that would be great03:11
Jw-91By the way, I have got my visa.03:11
hongbincool!!!03:12
Jw-91You will also go to the summit?03:12
hongbinyes, i will03:12
hongbinbut i will let you take over the "zun project update" session if you want03:12
hongbini believe you will present a good session there :)03:13
hongbinJw-91: ^^03:13
Jw-91I can try it, but some questions are still not very well understood, if anyone asks. Still need your help03:13
hongbinsure, i can help to answer the question if you want :)03:14
Jw-91Great:)03:14
hongbinok, anything else to discuss?03:15
Jw-91Then, see you next week in Berlin. :)03:15

EricAdamsZNC@hongbin, I am going to be at the OpenStack summit as well representing Kata Containers at the Intel booth. I will have a suite of use cases to show and one is Zun. I am only showing basic functionality of launching a Kata container from the Zun GUI and CLI but if there are any other messages about Zun you want me to educate people on I would be happy to.15:59
hongbinEricAdamsZNC: cool15:59
hongbinEricAdamsZNC: i don't have anything specific to share, but let me know if anything i can help, i hope zun will work well on your demo16:01
EricAdamsZNCIt works well enough on devstack :)  Thanks for the pointer.  For those that are interested in Zun I will show them a runc container and kata container and basic network connectivity between them.  It is nothing fancy.16:05
hongbinEricAdamsZNC: fwiw, this is the demo i showed in a few years ago, for your reference: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=umcok662jkM16:05
EricAdamsZNCCool thanks.  I remember seeing this video before awhile ago.16:07
hongbinEricAdamsZNC: i see, if you really need something that is fancy, i have another demo that showed how to use heat to orchestrate multiple containers, one second16:07
hongbinEricAdamsZNC: here you go: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xZDUN1z-OD416:09
EricAdamsZNCThanks. I will check into these.  Usually these types of demos are too long to do at the booth and I have 4 other Kata use case demos I could show.16:09
hongbini see16:09
hongbinIMO, the basic functionality is good enough16:10
EricAdamsZNCFor a booth demo it is but I do like to have more advanced setups ready in case I get into a longer conversation. Usually I repeat the same demo over and over 100s of times16:11
hongbini see16:11
EricAdamsZNCIt can be exhausting :)16:11
hongbinhaha16:12
hongbini will come and see your demo, looking forward to it16:12
EricAdamsZNCGreat!  Maybe you can help me make it better on the floor.  I am still working to get my other demos improved before then as well16:14
EricAdamsZNCIt will be nice to meet you too16:14
hongbinsure16:15
hongbinjust ping me if anything i can help16:15
EricAdamsZNCGreat and TY16:15

GaasmannDoes kuryr talk directly to etcd somehow? Or is etc only used by dockerd?22:42
hongbinGaasmann: kuryr doesn't directly talk to etcd22:51
hongbinGaasmann: however, the libnetwork model (that kuryr-libnetwork implements) requires docker to have a data store22:52
