I'd suggest to start by looking into how vmware is exposing the drives to the guest machine. sounds like there may be something odd going on there. otherwise, checking for stuff like "boot media still in the cd drive" would be good | 04:45 |

But you still have it connected in vmware. so next time you boot it'll load it again. I suggest after the installation, shut down the VM, open vmware and make sure the crdom device isn't pointing at the ISO.
