thebloggui have a firewall between a machine that runs a proxy node and a storage node and 4 other machines with storage nodes. I log the connections that pass through the firewall and I ran out of space. The cause was that swift is running lots (in the order of thousands per second) rsync commands. Is this behaviour normal? It seems to be a bit excessive, especially since it it a 5 storage node cluster with almost no usage. If it's not normal behavio14:01

ctennisthebloggu: that does seem a bit excessive.  you can limit in the rsyncd.conf how many simultaneous rsync connections are allowed.  also you can tone down the replicator settings in the swift configs to be less aggressive if you don't want replication running as hard.14:09
