fungismcginnis: catching up on scrollback in here, we did briefly discuss making the subscription script a zuul job, and yes as hberaud indicates the main hassle is it needs a gerrit account to do that with (i suppose it could be the same OpenStack Release Bot account which pushes tags? or we could use a separate one if that makes folks uneasy)17:33
fungiwould make more sense to run it in the check pipeline than periodic though, that way it can subscribe near instantly, and can add folks if a subsequent patchsets brings in more deliverables for a different team17:34

smcginnisfungi: I do like that idea. Having it run right away in check so there's no delay notifying teams of a new patch is good.19:39
smcginnisI would think using the existing Release Bot account should be fine. It is a bot automated release activity after all.19:40
fungizuul's safeguards should be able to prevent a proposed change from exposing that account's credentials, but if you wanted to be extra careful then a separate account could be used for it (currently i think that account only gets used in jobs run for changes which have already been reviewed/approved)19:49
