aarefievmilan: why do you need lambda here08:27
aarefievwhere they are used as callable08:28
milanaarefiev, I'm not sure how else one should transport the parsed operation08:30
aarefievas usual values, I don't see how you will use them, so hard to say08:31
milanaarefiev, maybe the lambdas won't need a parameter: finished_at=lambda: db.Node.finished_at >= 15:3008:32
milanas an example ^08:32
milanso if there was a query, the parser would compile it into such a lambda08:32
milanand the node_list would use it in the filter as an expression08:33
*** amotoki has quit IRC08:33
milancause calling it would return the SQLAlchemy expression stemming in the fact that there's a comparison of a column with a value08:33
*** Romanenko_K has joined #openstack-ironic08:34
milanSQLAlchemy then gives part of a string like: "...SELECT .... WHERE ...  finished_at >= 15:30"08:34
milan* mind 15:30 is seconds since epoch but that's also up to the parser to figure out IMO08:35
milan* "?finished_at=gt:15:30" ~> finished_at=lambda: db.Node.finished_at >= <secs since Epoch> ~> DB filter param08:37
* milan just realised that only filtering and sorting queries need these lambdas08:38
milanmarker and limit is OK as it is08:38

rloojroll, xavierr: to be honest, i don't actually know what is going on, which is why i didn't offer/suggest anything14:12
jrollthe docs seems fine to me... it isn't bad to add a release note here, but isn't big enough to warrant one14:12
rloojroll: i mean, to mention in our docs, that the release note should indicate how it affects operators, not a description for developers14:12
jrollxavierr: if you assume that the operator is not a developer, this release note is confusing14:13
vsaienk0dtantsur: what do you think if we add the same number of ironic nodes as number of use-cases we want to test. Of course use-cases that requires configuration change is separate thing. Also for each use-case we create a separate tempest test and make sure each test uses specific ironic node it may be a flavor or availability zone or something else. Next we launch some number of tests in parallel, this value might be less than number of ironic no14:13

patchbotpatch 321865 - ironic - Add power state change notifications17:50
watanabe_isaojroll, sir, the re-send mail you said a long time before, it is still not arrived, I'm thinking, my questions in that mail are not important now, and, maybe I should use a gmail next time. Sorry for token your time.17:51
mariojvi personally would find it useful to log most of those exceptions during development (which is where most of those will occur). maybe MessageDeliveryFailure should just be LOG.error though17:52
rloo_mariojv: these logs are going to be used in production so we want to make sure that we don't spew out too much stuff but spew out enough to help troubleshoot if need be.17:53
mariojvperhaps a warning would even be appropriate for MessageDeliveryFailure, but if the same queue is being used for both RPC and notifications it'd be good to do LOG.error17:54
JayFI mean, if it's the same queue as RPC, won't the RPC code complain about it itself?17:54
mariojvrloo_: right; i think my point was that the exceptions except MessageDeliveryFailure will only occur during development unless there's a severe coding bug17:54

jrollhave I ever complained that we require a full environment to run tox -e docs?20:42
jrollwhich requires things like mysql and postgres headers?20:43
jrollbecause we do and it's awful :(20:43
jrollmorning mrda20:43
JayFI mean, how else do we fix that?20:44
JayFif we have something like a docs-requirements.txt it'll be somewhat nonstandard20:44
mrdahey jroll20:44
jrollJayF: yeah idk20:45
mrdajroll: it is a little bit frustrating, but as JayF syas, standardisation20:45
jrollI AM IRRATIONALLY ANGRY ABOUT THIS20:45
jroll:D20:45
mrda(also makes doing docs work on a non-linux difficult, but I digress...)20:45
jrollindeed20:45
jrolllike, I know how to deal with it fine, I have a VM set up and stuff20:46
jrollbut isn't friendly to newer contributors20:46
JayFif a new contrib gave me that complaint; I'd proabbly suggest they use the gate to render their docs20:46
JayFthe jobs don't take long b/c we don't run tempest20:46

JayFI meant the one actualyl built into etherpad22:35
jrolletherpad is slow, it showed up after you said "I just did"22:35
JayFbut I added to that one too22:35
jrolloh22:36
jrollthat only helps when you have it open :P22:36
JayFI always try to be black background/white text regardless of the etherpad instance22:36
JayFand will proactively change it to make it that22:36
jrollI will never remember that :P22:36
JayFsee, everyone should have a signature etherpad color22:37

rloojroll: does the color stuff stick afterwards, eg: https://etherpad.openstack.org/p/ironic-newton-summit-gate. i have no idea who wrote what22:41

rloojroll: so maybe i don't know what i'm looking at. in that etherpad ^, when you showed up, i saw you as pink on the RHS/map. BUT in the actual page, i see pink, green, blue, and don't know who those people are. although it looks like dtantsur is/was also pink.22:44
jrollrloo: right... I wasn't pink there because I've since changed my color or whatever (which can happen with a new browser session or cookies cleared)22:45
jrollrloo: that's why I like putting a color map in the text itself, because that will stay as it was at the time of writing22:45
jrolland match the actual text22:45
jrollmake sense?22:46

JayFaiui keeping the consistant color across a single etherpad is a cookie-thing.22:47
jrollrloo: yeah, it's usually helpful22:47
JayFI try to be aware if mine changes, and explicitly change it back to black background. Apparently I'm the only person in the world who ever noticed I did this.22:47
