anteayaokay so looking at your logs14:27
anteayaI concur with your assessment14:27
anteayait appears that pbr is having a problem there14:28
anteayaand that is the extent of my knowledge of pbr14:28
rdopieraI tried to force an earlier version, but 0.10.7 is being installed anyways14:28
anteayaso we will have to wait for mordred or fungi or someone else that knows pbr (sdague?) to take a look14:28

nibalizerjeblair: so my thinking there is that it is just a control flag, what seems weird?17:07
jeblairi don't think it's a good way to say that pip should be installed (in each of many random packages) and there's no dependency relationship expressed, so the ordering is not guaranteed17:08

fungithe tricky part here is that it's trying to bootstrap pip from the default package provider so that the pip package provider will work, but if pip is already installed from not-the-distro then this could effectively downgrade it17:09
fungisuch as in our case17:09
fungiso maybe there's a way to have that conditionally test whether there's a pip executable in the default path and install the system package for it if not?17:10

shakamunyifungi: it is 'shakayumi' and I want to fix it to 'shakamunyi'19:24
*** davideagnello has joined #openstack-infra19:24
fungishakamunyi: gerrit does not provide a feature to allow anyone to change a username, not even for an admin. they stopped allowing that back around the 2.2 release because other features in gerrit depend on that not changing. once it's set you're stuck with it as far as the gerrit devs are concerned19:24
*** ashleighfarnham has joined #openstack-infra19:25
fungishakamunyi: on the plus side, that's really only used for authenticating to gerrit via ssh and the http api, so you can just configure your machine to use the username gerrit knows for you (for example in a ~/.ssh/config host override or similar)19:26
zaroclarkb: i forgot that i'm gonna need to add a require in that tidy to make it execute after initializing a gerrit site.  is there a way to add an OR operator to a puppet require param?19:26
