tsufievrobcresswell, locally updated DOA + Horizon seem to work fine with my stable/mitaka env09:33
tsufievhowever I've just realized that the warning in an updated DOA is slightly confusing09:34
tsufievit says "The settings.py file points to a v2.0 keystone endpoint, but v3 is specified as the API version to use. Using v3 endpoint for authentication"09:34
tsufievwhile the function containing this warning now is used both for fixing auth_url _and_ some values from Keystone catalog, the warning is obsolete and may lead to thinking that wrong settings are used09:36
tsufievwhile in reality that's a conflict of version suffix in catalog and the keystone version horizon is going to use09:36
tsufievyet I don't think that's enough to hold the new release09:37
robcresswelltsufiev: Yeah I want the gate moving. We can have a minor release to fix an error message later :)09:38

robcresswellEspecially small companies seem to basically just do some light coluring and branding, and then sell/support Horizon as-is13:36

matt-borlandfrankly I've felt like I'm in a catch-22 with balancing reviews and coding13:48
robcresswellIMO, if we added a couple of well built panels each cycle (in order of priority), while fixing bugs and making small improvements to existing bits, that would be a solid way to progress13:48
matt-borlandthat makes sense:13:48
matt-borlandso it seems that Images (which has only a couple of important updates I believe), Swift, and Instances are the big ones for this round13:49

matt-borlandrobcresswell, you should take a look at how we handle this in the SL panel, it provides a new perspective on solving the problem13:54

matt-borlandI would use the SL table cache as a base (idea, not implementation)13:57
matt-borlandWhen you use SL for these activities, it is beyond cool...I will leave it at that.13:57

robcresswellUntil it becomes an accepted, widely used piece of openstack, its not an option to focus all our efforts on it14:00
sjmc7tsufiev: if you do end up looking at it, take into account the server configs of both horizon and other services. the default devstack config only runs 10 threads for horizon and each will block on those relatively long-running ajax calls14:01
