cfriesenmaybe an odd question, but in a single-node environment would we expect to be able to delete the rabbit pod and have it come back up and restart the rabbit server?  One of our guys just tried it and the pod came back but the new container appears to have hung after logging "Application xmerl started on node..."16:21

cfriesenon a related topic, we have 2 controllers and no plans to move to 3, so I'm experimenting with using the galera arbitrator on a worker node.  the advantage there is that it's stateless and so can be allowed to float if a worker node gets taken down.16:30

cfriesenI hit one snag yesterday where upgrading all the mariadb pods at the same time resulted in the arbitrator losing track of the other cluster members, so I adjusted the disruption budget to set min_available to 116:32

v1k0d3nwe've been trying to use armada, but got a bit scared about helm v3, so we rewrote that portion in go around the helm client. still takes an armada manifest, but doesn't have the tiller bits built in (or keystone or some of the other stuff you guys are required to have). that's been super helpful as well.22:28
