dmsimardapollo13: re: https://review.opendev.org/#/c/656914/ (APIRoot index)14:22
dmsimardThere isn't a (django) web interface planned right now, only ara-web14:23
apollo13dmsimard: yes I ment that with "webfrontend"14:25

openstackgerritMerged recordsansible/ara master: documentation formatting issue fix  https://review.opendev.org/65717814:29
dmsimardapollo13: ok so you would host the web client on / and the api on /api/v1/, for example ?14:42
apollo13yes14:42
dmsimardthat's more of a web server configuration, though14:44
dmsimardif I have the api and the web client running locally without a web server, they're different apps listening on different ports14:45
dmsimardthe django app "responds" on /, whether we have an index or not -- though if we don't, it's just going to return an error because there's nothing14:47
dmsimardThe way the live demos are deployed, they're each on their own subdomain and there is a redirection from / to /api/v1 just for convenience: https://github.com/ansible-community/ara-infra/blob/eaf98eba2cc1a114e5f6933cdba5000c3e0a6efe/playbooks/templates/api.demo.recordsansible.org.conf.j2#L27-L3014:53
dmsimardPutting them in the same vhost is doable but then you need to make sure requests from one isn't going to the other14:55
apollo13dmsimard: all fine for me, I just thought it would be nice if when people do pip install ara[server] they also get the js webfrontend15:02
dmsimardapollo13: agreed, I hope the ansible role will allow us to bridge that gap15:11

ara-slackabcde0: tried 'ara generate junit' but the resulting xml file seems to contain way too little info especially compared to the html version of the report. this command's help did not offer any knobs to turn in that regards. asking just in case there's any hidden feature: is there any way to generate a more comprehensive junit/xml report?22:08
